ARKScan Updates - Export Transactions and Validated Blocks

Our latest updates to ARK Scan are now available! This includes new features that make it easier than ever to export your on-chain data, directly from ARK Scan. This was a much-requested feature from the community and will help both regular users and delegates when it comes time for accounting and taxes. Let’s take a look at today’s updates.

Transaction Export

Users can now export transaction history directly from ARK Scan.

Simply click on ‘Export’ in the Transaction table, and a modal will appear allowing you to customize your export preferences, including:

  • Date Range: Choose the timeframe for exporting your transactions. In a future release, we will introduce the ability to use a custom date range.
  • Delimiter: Select the delimiter to use in the exported file. You can also choose to include a header row in the export, displaying column names at the top.
  • Transaction Types: Specify the types of transactions to include in the export.
  • Columns: Select the specific data you wish to export.

Validated Blocks Export

Delegates can now export validated block data directly in ARK Scan.

Delegates registered on the ARK network now have the ability to export the blocks they have validated. Simply click on ‘Export’ in the Validated Blocks table, and a modal will appear allowing you to configure your export preferences, including:

  • Date Range: Choose the timeframe for exporting validated blocks. In a future release, we will introduce the ability to use a custom date range.
  • Delimiter: Select the delimiter to use in the exported file. You can also choose to include a header row in the export, displaying column names at the top.
  • Columns: Select the specific data you wish to export.

NOTE: The transaction and block history data, along with any related information, is provided solely for informational purposes. Please be aware that if you plan to use this data for tax filing purposes, it is crucial to seek the assistance of a qualified accountant who can ensure accurate and proper preparation based on your jurisdiction. Both ARK Ecosystem, SCIC and Ardent Blockchain Development, LLC emphasize that they cannot be held responsible or liable for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the provided transaction and block history data. Users and participants are advised to exercise due diligence and caution when relying on this information for any purpose, especially when it comes to tax filing.

Additional Enhancements

In addition to the export features, this release also includes various fixes and improvements:

  • Search indexing enhancements: We have made several improvements to the search indexing functionality. These include using an additional database column for the wallets table to ensure that only new items are indexed, preventing duplicate indexing jobs, and removing unused height in the block searchable array.
  • Tooltip added to transaction table: To enhance the user experience, tooltips have been added to the ‘Unvote,’ ‘Vote,’ and ‘Vote Swap’ options in the new transaction table. Hovering over any of these transaction types will display the delegate that was voted for, unvoted for, or swapped, without the need to open the transaction details page.
  • Removal of identicons from search results: In order to maintain a consistent look and minimize distractions, identicons have been removed from the search results.

Having Issues?

No one is perfect and that includes us. If you run into any issues with a new release, we want to know about them. You can let us know by opening an issue on GitHub . Our team of developers will take a look as soon as possible.

What’s Next?

Our next minor update to ARK Scan will bring the “Custom Date Range” option to the export modals. This will allow users to export data within a custom time period. Furthermore any issues and minor bugs that have been noticed since today’s release will also be addressed.

As for the next major release of ARKScan, the focus of the development cycle will be on redesigning the individual transaction pages for all transaction types, as well as the individual block pages. This redesign aims to improve the overall user experience and functionality of these pages.
