Over the past five years, the team at ARK has been hard at work building an inclusive platform that brings the power of decentralization to everyday users. We started this journey with one simple goal: Make Blockchain Easy for Everyone.
This philosophy has allowed our team to build a suite of tools that are beloved by our users. Products like the ARK Desktop and Mobile Wallets have long been favorites among the ARK Community and are often cited as some of the best in the industry.
We take pride in this accomplishment and believe it is time to not only open the doors and allow more users to experience our products, but to take them to the next level.
That is why today we are proud to unveil a new suite of financial tools powered by our own custom multi-asset SDK.
We call it, Payvo.
What is Payvo?
Payvo is a new brand that encompasses our suite of financial tools focused on multi-asset support. These tools are powered by the Payvo SDK (formerly the ARK Platform SDK), our open-source SDK that allows developers to easily implement multiple assets into their products and services.
Being powered by Payvo SDK means all components will have multi-asset support for ARK, ADA, AVAX, BTC, ETH, SOL, and a growing list of industry leading technologies.

Payvo is focused on empowering everyday people to take control of their finances through tools that allow them to manage, spend, receive, account for, and track all of their crypto-based activities. From the moment you receive your first tokens to the day you file your taxes, whether you are a shop owner or a regular user, Payvo has you covered.
Payvo as a Brand
So you might be asking yourself, ‘Why Payvo?’
Let’s take a look at the meaning behind the brand and outline some of the key components that helped steer our direction.
The name Payvo is a combination of two key concepts:
Payments + Re(vo)lution
Payments is an indicator of the core purpose behind the Payvo platform. First and foremost, it is about empowering crypto as a means of payment and business or transfer of value between two people. Our Financial Suite is built with a large focus on users who want to use their cryptoassets, not just hodl.
Re(vo)lution is an indicator of the revolution that blockchain and cryptoassets are bringing to the world of finance. This new way of business has completely upended legacy thinking, and we believe it will eventually upend the entire legacy financial system. Cryptoassets and Blockchain are truly a revolution in finance.
So, (Pay)ments + Re(vo)lution = Payvo.
Along with this, we wanted to stress the importance of the Mnemonic or Key and how it plays such an integral role in the management of your assets. Payvo as a platform is open-source, self-hosted, and decentralizes every component as much as possible. We hold true to the mantra, ‘not your keys, not your crypto.’
Taking the name Payvo and its purpose, along with the importance of your Keys, we created our new slogan for the brand:

Payvo as a Platform
Branding is important, but what really matters is the platform. Payvo is a full suite of financial tools that encompasses a wide range of common uses for cryptoassets. Let’s take a look at some of the key components of Payvo.

Payvo.com will be the key portal for all things Payvo. This will be the primary tool for onboarding users who are new to the Payvo platform.

Payvo SDK (PSDK) will power the entire Payvo Platform and will be the core method of multi-asset integration. It will be open-source and collaborative, and we will work to continually add new assets. Additions to the PSDK will unlock full access and inclusion in the entire Payvo Platform.

Payvo Wallet will be a new multi-asset wallet focused on full functioning desktop clients. It will be available for MacOS, Windows, and Linux. The Payvo Wallet will take the place of the ARK Desktop Wallet which will effectively be discontinued.

Payvo App will be a new mobile app focused on prioritizing daily interaction with your cryptoassets. It will be available for iOS and Android. The Payvo App will take the place of the ARK Mobile Wallet which will effectively be discontinued.

Payvo Checkout will be a full service checkout experience with invoicing, product management, and payment tracking.

Payvo Market Data API will be a custom market data solution that will provide pricing data through an open-source, self-hosted system that integrates with all components of the Payvo Platform.
These are the first major components of the Payvo Platform, but we are also working on solutions for Licensing, Cashtag-like ID, tax reporting integrations, and web3 just to name a few.
Needless to say, the Payvo Platform is just getting started.
