ARK recently held a desktop wallet theme design contest in celebration of the new ARK Desktop Wallet Plugin Manager. Today we are pleased to announce the winners of the competition, show the winning entries and describe the selection process.

Desktop Wallet Plugin Manager Launched
Earlier this year, we released a major upgrade for the ARK Desktop Wallet that we call the Plugin Manager. This allows users to discover, install and update plugins direct to the desktop wallet in just a few clicks. The result is easier access to all the great plugins the ecosystem has to offer, including themes, tools, exchanges, games and more. Additionally, developers now have a platform to distribute in-wallet plugins directly to members of the ARK community.

Desktop Wallet Theme Plugin Contest
To celebrate the launch, we initiated a theme plugin design contest that lasted until January 30th, 2020. We collected submissions from around the world, and we received many great entries. The prizes provided by ARK.io included the following:
- 1st Place: Ledger Nano S, $300 USD worth of ARK tokens
- 2nd Place: $150 USD worth of ARK tokens
- 3rd Place: $50 USD worth of ARK tokens
These top places will also receive ARK merchandise from Shop.ARK.io .
Additionally, all participants were entered into a random drawing to receive ARK merch, with one entry per participant. The ARK merchandise will consist of an ARK branded T-shirt, hat and mug!
Participants followed a simple guide to create a theme wallet plugin, customize it and publish it. Advanced coding knowledge was not needed to participate.

Contest Judging Process
We collected the submissions and participants, giving participants the ability to submit multiple different wallet themes, but each participant was only eligible to place once in the top three. Once the submissions were collected and January 30th came and went, the designs were presented to the delegates of the ARK Public Network for voting. The Delegates chose the top three designs by unique participants to determine the winners.

Dracula Theme by Breno3rd Place: Dracula Theme (by Breno)
Taking third place is this brooding, mysterious theme by Breno entitled Dracula. Breno stands today as a member of the ARK Team, and although ARK team members were not eligible to win, he was hired after his contest submission. So it counts!
Cyberpunk Theme by Azure-Infinity2nd Place: Cyberpunk Theme (by AzureInfinity)
Taking second place is this high-octane, bodacious, tubular and radical theme by AzureInfinity entitled Cyberpunk. The purple really pops, and it seems the ARK Public Network delegates agreed. Congratulations!
Pure Theme by Giliam1st Place: Pure Theme (by Giliam)
Taking first place is this clean, blissful, and dare we say ‘pure’ theme by Giliam entitled Pure. Sit back and enjoy tranquility as you hear your inner monologue, ‘funds are safu.’ The ARK Public Network delegates liked this design the most. Congratulations on winning 1st place, Giliam!
Last but not least, the winner of the random merch drawing is Khalil! Congratulations!
